Her great-grandfather John Martin Magenau Jr. was President and CEO at the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery in Erie Pennsylvania which had been established in 1847. It closed in the year 1978. Jacobs began studying acting at the age of eight old and took Saturday lessons in acting at The Pittsburgh Playhouse. She performed in the Pittsburgh Public Theater, where she was crowned the winner of the Public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest many times. Mt. Jacobs completed her studies at Lebanon High School, New York in 2000. After that, she relocated into New York City in order to take classes in Juilliard School. Juilliard School.
